Chamilo LMS, or Chamilo Learning Management System is a piece of software that allows you to create a virtual campus for the provision of online or semi-online training.
It is distributed under the GNU/GPLv3+ license and its development process is public.
All the Chamilo software products are entirely free (as in freedom), free (as in beer) and complete, and are production-ready without requiring any type of payment. If you need professional services or assistance to get your project further, we recommend you check our official providers list.
This page will give you all the necessary resources to get started

A few tools can be used in combination with Chamilo, but are not part of it because they use distinct technologies and licenses that prevent their inclusion into a single Chamilo package
BigBlueButton and OpenMeetings are two quality free software videoconference systems that, because of the technologies they use, cannot be directly included in Chamilo.
However, you can install them and then connect them to Chamilo through its plugins.
LibreOffice enables the conversion of office documents inside Chamilo. It uses other technologies, but it can be integrated through the Chamilo extensions.
Prestashop allows you to manage an online shop for your courses. It is another system (using the same technologies as Chamilo) but it can be integrated through the use of Chamilo web services and a Prestashop plugin.
Although we cannot directly recommend the following tool because they are not directly offered under a Free Software license, we believe there are many cases in which they could be of assistance to our users, be it temporarily… (until a better solution is offered by the Free Software world)
Softaculous allows you to install Chamilo in a few clicks on automated hosting systems with CPanel
Wiris is an all-mathematical things editor that can be integrated to the Chamilo online editor
